What Christlikeness Involves

Mark 10:45 For the Son of Man also came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.

John 4:34  . . . My food is to do the will of him who sent me and to accomplish his work.

John 5:30  . . . I don’t seek my own will, but the will of my Father who sent me.

Matthew 26:38-39; Luke 22:44 “My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death . . .” He  . . . fell on his face, and prayed, saying, “ . . . nevertheless, not what I desire, but what you desire.” . . . Being in agony he prayed more earnestly. His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down on the ground.

Luke 9:58  . . . foxes have holes, and the birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay his head.

Philippians 2:5-8 Have this in your mind, which was also in Christ Jesus, who, existing in the form of God, didn’t consider equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to the point of death, yes, the death of the cross.
