The Son’s Role in Creation

Colossians 1:16-17 For by him all things were created in the heavens and on the earth, visible things and invisible things, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things have been created through him and for him. He is before all things, and in him all things are held together.

Hebrews 1:2-3  . . . his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds. His Son is the radiance of his glory, the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power . . .

1:8-10 But of the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. The scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your Kingdom. . . . And, “You, Lord, in the beginning, laid the foundation of the earth. The heavens are the works of your hands.

John 1:2-4  . . . was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him. Without him, nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men.

1 Corinthians 8:6  . . . to us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we live through him.

John 12:49 For I spoke not from myself, but the Father who sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.

John 14:10  . . . The words that I tell you, I speak not from myself; but the Father who lives in me does his works.

John 10:17-18 Therefore the Father loves me, because I lay down my life, that I may take it again. No one takes it away from me, but I lay it down by myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. I received this commandment from my Father.

John 15:5 I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
