Regardless of what words your Bible translation use, each Scripture reference I cited uses the same Hebrew word that the King James Version translates abomination in reference to homosexual acts (Leviticus 18:22; 20:13). Moreover, the same word is used in reference to ceremonial transgressions such as sacrificing an animal with a defect (Deuteronomy 17:1), paying vows to God with the earnings of prostitute (Deuteronomy 23:18) and eating unclean food (Leviticus 11:11-13,20,23,41,42; Deuteronomy 14:3-21).
