We live in a world where in the final analysis might is right because the Almighty is right. Good will ultimately triumph. We are on the winning side.
Imagine a never-ending honeymoon in the exquisite perfection of Paradise with the Inventor of sex and sunsets, the Genius who made our greatest earthly pleasures beauty, pleasure, color, humor, music, ecstasy, love as a mere prelude for the inconceivable surprises awaiting his darlings. Imagine honeymooning with a God of inexhaustible creativity who can speak new worlds into existence, who can turn your wildest dreams into glorious reality and then soar beyond them further than any finite mind could conceive. We have a God who gets his greatest delight out of lavishing you with his riches in the extravagance of infinite love.
We have constant and instant access to the most important and most exciting person in the universe; a faithful friend who always understands us, and will never let us down, grow old or grow tired of us.
Of course, by prayerfully looking to God to open the treasures of Scripture to us, we can find
many other thrilling truths with which to gently uplift and encourage our brothers and sisters.
1 Thessalonians 5:11 Therefore exhort one another, and build each other up, even as you also do.
Hebrews 10:24-25 Let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as you see the Day approaching.
Romans 15:2 Let each one of us please his neighbor for that which is good, to be building him up.
