Prayer is the height of spiritual intimacy. Its fine to ask others to help you pray for a particular need but to leave prayer primarily to others is like asking them to go on a luxury cruise for you, or eat a gourmet meal for you. It is not quite like asking a friend to make love to your marriage partner (since that would be sin), but it comes uncomfortably close if you relinquish your right to pray. If you find communication with the most exciting Person in the universe a little dull, then for some unfortunate reason, you are missing something exquisitely beautiful and wondrous.
