It would be the epitome of arrogance to assert that we know better than the all-knowing Lord. Since the God of love sees you as lovable, humility requires you to agree that you are lovable. If God sees you through eyes of love, how dare you see yourself in a different light, as if your perspective is right and your Creator and Savior is wrong? If God forgives you, to refuse to forgive yourself is to have the audacity to imply that you have higher moral standards than the Judge of all the earth; that you are holier than the Holy Lord. Isnt that the very pinnacle of pride? Likewise, since there is nothing the Almighty cannot do, to think yourself as incapable of doing great exploits through him is to arrogantly insist that your weakness is more powerful than God.
