For example, when people seem to have greater faith than you, it is often just an illusion. People can seem to have rock-solid faith in God’s provision when they have $10,000 in the bank and have never lacked. Put them $10,000 in debt with angry creditors after them and most people’s supposed faith will turn out to be largely hot air. Anyone can seem to be filled with the peace of God until they are mugged three times, been raped and suffered home invasions.
