When a man phones his wife at work or has flowers sent to her, he is not being standoffish, even though in these types of communication he doesnt speak with her face to face. He is using his ingenuity to broaden the range of his expressions of love. Likewise, God communicating through things he has made, in no way implies he is a little cool toward us. He is already so intimate with you that he is one spirit with you and lives inside you. He is simply being creative in the way he shares his thoughts with his loved one.
