Day after day, month after month, the mournful dirge of defeatist sayings and condemnation keeps repeating like an old broken record in our minds. Year after year the same depressing put-downs keep playing inside, worse than the most infuriating jingle from a TV commercial we cant get out of our minds. Persistently drown out those oppressive lies with the sweet strains of adoring praise to God in your mind. As you keep lifting him higher, you are lifted higher. When praise slackens you begin to slump again.
