Just as any of us would look physically repulsive without our skin, so I look repulsive without Christ. Through the divine miracle of spiritual rebirth, however, the Lord Jesus is as much a part of me as my skin. And just as our skin physically covers us, holds us together and stops us from looking hideous, Christ covers, completes and beautifies us spiritually.
