Chosen


John 6:70 Jesus answered them, “Didn’t I choose you, the twelve . . .”

John 13:18 I don’t speak concerning all of you. I know whom I have chosen. . . .

John 15:16 You didn’t choose me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit . . .

Acts 1:21-26 “ . . . therefore who have accompanied us all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, beginning from the baptism of John, to the day that he was received up from us, of these one must become a witness with us of his resurrection.” They put forward two, Joseph called Barsabbas, who was also called Justus, and Matthias. They prayed, and said, “You, Lord, who know the hearts of all men, show which one of these two you have chosen to take part in this ministry and apostleship from which Judas fell away, that he might go to his own place.” They drew lots for them, and the lot fell on Matthias, and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.

Acts 9:15 But the Lord said to him, “Go your way, for he [Paul] is my chosen vessel to bear my name before the nations and kings, and the children of Israel. . . .”

Acts 10:41 not to all the people, but to witnesses who were chosen before by God, to us, who ate and drank with him [Jesus] after he rose from the dead.

Luke 24:45-49 Then he opened their minds, that they might understand the Scriptures. He said to them, “Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name to all the nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things. Behold, I send out the promise of my Father on you. But wait in the city of Jerusalem until you are clothed with power from on high.”
