God Laughs/Mocks/Feels Comtempt

Job 12:21 He pours contempt on princes, and loosens the belt of the strong.

Psalm 2:4 He who sits in the heavens will laugh. The Lord will have them in derision.

Psalm 37:12-13 The wicked plots against the just, and gnashes at him with his teeth. The Lord will laugh at him . . .

Psalm 59:7-8  . . . they spew with their mouth. Swords are in their lips . . . But you, the Lord, laugh at them. You scoff at all the nations.

Psalm 107:40-41 He pours contempt on princes, and causes them to wander in a trackless waste. Yet he lifts the needy out of their affliction . . .

God Feels Frustration?

Exodus 17:2  . . . Moses said to them, “Why do you quarrel with me? Why do you test the Lord?”

Exodus 16:28 The Lord said to Moses, “How long do you refuse to keep my commandments and my laws?

Numbers 14:11  . . . “How long will this people despise me? and how long will they not believe in me, for all the signs which I have worked among them?

God Feels Jealousy

Exodus 34:14 for you shall worship no other god: for the Lord . . . is a jealous God.

Deuteronomy 32:16 They moved him to jealousy with strange gods. They provoked him to anger with abominations.

Deuteronomy 32:21 They have moved me to jealousy with that which is not God. They have provoked me to anger with their vanities. . . .

Joshua 24:19  . . . he is a holy God. He is a jealous God. . . .

1 Kings 14:22  . . . they provoked him to jealousy with their sins which they committed . . .

God Feels Disgust

Proverbs 11:1 A false balance is an abomination to the Lord . . .

Proverbs 15:8 The sacrifice made by the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, but the prayer of the upright is his delight.

Proverbs 17:15 He who justifies the wicked, and he who condemns the righteous, both of them alike are an abomination to the Lord.

Isaiah 1:13-14 Bring no more vain offerings. Incense is an abomination to me; new moons, Sabbaths, and convocations: I can’t bear with evil assemblies. My soul hates your New Moons and your appointed feasts. They are a burden to me. I am weary of bearing them.

Amos 5:21 I hate, I despise your feasts, and I can’t stand your solemn assemblies.

God Feels Proud of People and Boasts About Them?

Job 1:8-12 The Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant, Job? For there is no one like him in the earth, a blameless and an upright man, one who fears God, and turns away from evil.” Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, “Does Job fear God for nothing? Haven’t you made a hedge around him, and around his house, and around all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. But stretch out your hand now, and touch all that he has, and he will renounce you to your face.” The Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power. Only on himself don’t stretch out your hand.” . . .

Job 2:3-6 The Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? For there is no one like him in the earth, a blameless and an upright man, one who fears God, and turns away from evil. He still maintains his integrity, although you incited me against him, to ruin him without cause.” Satan answered the Lord, and said, “Skin for skin. Yes, all that a man has he will give for his life. But stretch out your hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will renounce you to your face.” The Lord said to Satan, “Behold, he is in your hand. Only spare his life.”
