Gods Longing to Share the Glory with UsScriptural ProofWhen the Lord said, I will not give my glory to another, he immediately explained his meaning by completing the sentence . . . nor my praise to engraved images, (Isaiah 42:8). Our Lord was saying he would not share his glory with idols and false gods (similarly, compare Isaiah 48:11 with Isaiah 48:5). He was not saying that he, the most generous, selfless person in the universe who in Christ humbled himself to the extreme of the cross, would not share glory with those who serve him. In fact, there is such a vast array of Scriptures confirming that he shares his honor with his children that, lest I tire you, I will limit this to just a small sampling: Genesis 27:29 Let peoples serve you, and nations bow down to you.
