The Servant Heart of the King of Kings

* * *

Mark 10:45 For the Son of Man also came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

John 13:14 If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet.

Philippians 2:5-8 Have this in your mind, which was also in Christ Jesus, who, existing in the form of God, didn’t consider equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, yes, the death of the cross.

Acts 17:25 Neither is he served by men’s hands, as though he needed anything, seeing he himself gives to all life and breath, and all things.

Luke 6:35 But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing back; and your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High; for he is kind toward the unthankful and evil.

Matthew 5: 45  . . . For he makes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust.

Psalm 104:25-28 There is the sea, great and wide, in which are innumerable living things, both small and large animals. . . . These all wait for you, that you may give them their food in due season. You give to them; they gather. You open your hand; they are satisfied with good.

Psalm 145:14-17 The Lord upholds all who fall, and raises up all those who are bowed down. The eyes of all wait for you. You give them their food in due season. You open your hand, and satisfy the desire of every living thing. The Lord is righteous in all his ways, and gracious in all his works. who covers the sky with clouds, who prepares rain for the earth, who makes grass grow on the mountains. He provides food for the livestock, and for the young ravens when they call.

True Feminine Beauty

1 Peter 3:1-6 In the same way, wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; so that, even if any don’t obey the Word, they may be won by the behavior of their wives without a word; seeing your pure behavior in fear. Let your beauty be not just the outward adorning of braiding the hair, and of wearing jewels of gold, or of putting on fine clothing; but in the hidden person of the heart, in the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God very precious. For this is how the holy women before, who hoped in God also adorned themselves, being in subjection to their own husbands: as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord, whose children you now are, if you do well, and are not put in fear by any terror.

1 Timothy 2:9-10 In the same way, that women also adorn themselves in decent clothing, with modesty and propriety; not just with braided hair, gold, pearls, or expensive clothing; but (which becomes women professing godliness) with good works.

Proverbs 31:30 Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain; but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.
