About five years ago I was 20 years old and addicted to Internet pornography. On the outside, I was a promising young Christian, saved when I was 13 years old, but on the inside I felt empty, ashamed and angry at the same time angry at the way I was living and at my impossible struggle to escape the addiction. I would try to change under my own power. I might last a day or two but before long I was back. I was too ashamed and proud to seek help from anyone. Looking back, I can see that I was resistant to any change. I enjoyed my secret sin and didnt really want it taken away from me.
Then God started to work in my life. Im not sure how it happened but five years ago I ended up on your website. I read and read and couldnt put it down. I even had a copy of your pornography series on my PDA. I cannot begin to describe how powerfully God convicted me. Suddenly I was being changed; by a long and painful process of God breaking me down and renewing my mind and desires. I no longer wanted to sin like I had been. I no longer wanted to gaze at every woman that I met like some kind of predatory animal.
I have never looked back. Even now I still regard it as one of the most powerful examples of God moving in my life. I was a changed person. My relationship with God deepened to the point were for the first time since my salvation I was relying on him for strength. About a year later, God brought a beautiful Christian woman into my life. We were married last year. I see now how God prepared me for my beloved wife and how he makes everything new! Im not perfect. I still find it a struggle to remain pure in the society we are in, but its possible with Gods power.
God used the net-burst.com website to wake me up and show you how I was really living in his eyes. It helped immensely in my escape and has literally changed my life.
