Sharing Christ’s Suffering

Romans 8:17  . . . heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ; if indeed we suffer with him, that we may also be glorified with him.

1 Peter 4:13 But because you are partakers of Christ’s sufferings, rejoice; that at the revelation of his glory you also may rejoice with exceeding joy.

Colossians 1:24 Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and fill up on my part that which is lacking of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body’s sake, which is the assembly [the church]

2 Corinthians 1:5 For as the sufferings of Christ abound to us, even so our comfort also abounds through Christ.

Acts 5:40-41  . . . Summoning the apostles, they beat them and commanded them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go. They therefore departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer dishonor for Jesus’ name.

Luke 9:23  . . . If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, take up his cross, and follow me.
