Throughout the Old Testament

* * *

I have by no means attempted a full list of all the people in the Bible who delivered prophecies and had God-given dreams or visions. Nor I have bothered to cite anything like the full number of instances for each person.

All the major prophets had visions:

    Isaiah (e.g. Isaiah 1:1; 6:1-8; 21:2)
    Jeremiah (e.g. Jeremiah 1:11-14; 24:3)
    Ezekiel (e.g. Ezekiel 1:1; 7:13; 8:3-4; 11:24)
    Daniel (e.g. Daniel 2:19; 4:5; 7:1; 8:1)

I have not bothered to search all the minor prophets for this, but here are some:

    Amos (e.g. Amos 1:1)
    Obadiah (e.g. Obadiah 1:1)
    Micah (e.g. Micah 1:1)
    Nahum (e.g. Nahum 1:1)
    Habakkuk (e.g. Habakkuk 3:3-7)
    Zechariah (e.g. Zechariah 1:8)

To this we could add prophecies associated with dreams or visions that came to other people of God such as:

    Abraham (e.g. Genesis 15:1, 12-13)
    Jacob (e.g. Genesis 28:12; 46:2)
    Joseph (e.g. Genesis 37:5; 40:8; 41:15)
    Samuel (e.g. 1 Samuel 3:15)
